This office, from time to time conducts or assists in conducting Judicial Sales or Public Sales pursuant to Court Orders. Most of our public sales are held at the Courthouse at a visible place in front of the Courthouse, weather permitting, or the 1st floor hallway if the weather is bad.
The Public Sale will be advertised and sold in accordance with North Carolina law and the results of the sale will be reported to the Clerk of Superior Court of the county where the property is located. At the sale the auctioneer may give additional instructions how the sale will be conducted. The highest bidder(s) at sale will be required to make a deposit in cash or by check to the auctioneer, refundable if upset. Upset bids and deposits are made to the Clerk of Superior Court. All properties are sold “as is” without warranties. As seller/auctioneer, we do NOT give legal advice to bidders (see Notice above).
